Band Manager Turns Down Ex-Paratroopers

Hope of seeing 15 ex-paratroopers out-jump all comers right smack into the Yale Bowl this November faded last night when Jay Skinner '48 said the band would stick to drills and music.

Robert L. Jones '47, secretary of the Boot and Wing Club, a group which meets every Wednesday night to talk over old times and drink beer, had said that some of the members would jump if funds were forthcoming.

Organized In 1946

Organized in the spring of 1946 the club's membership fluctuates from around 15 at weekly meetings to 30 at the "Prop Blasts," otherwise known as dances. Each member of the local club, which officially is unaffiliated with any organization, carries a card pronouncing him a member of the Allied Airbourne Men of America.
