American Veterans' Committee plans for educational work in local veterans' hospitals materialized yesterday as the Student Affairs Committee of the University chapter received a request from Cushing General Hospital for instructors in five courses.
The Framingham hospital asked the veterans' group for tutors in three academic and two vocational subjects. Stanley Lofchie '49, chairman of the committee, requested volunteers for the work to report to AVC headquarters in Brooks House or at the AVC general membership meeting tomorrow evening.
The idea was born last spring after consultation with local Veterans' Administration officials but action was put off.
