Two dances and athletic plans along with special administrative groups to supervise them were established on behalf of all Yardlings last night as the Union Committee met for the first time this year.
After the Dartmouth game on October 25 an orchestrated affair has been slated, followed by a record dance the evening of the Rutgers contest, November 1. The Dance Committee will waste no time initiating arrangements as the first meeting under newly designated chairman Frederick Heim '50 of Claverly Hall has been called for tonight at 7 o' clock.
Nine Aldes Named
Meeting under the aegis of William C. Murphy '42 3L, secretary of the Union, in his Lionel rooms, the group named nine other Freshmen to serve with Heim.
Appointed to cope with the lack of adequate intramural athletics among Yard and outside house residents were six men, who have been directed to consult with Adolph W. Samborski '36.
