Students, HAA Clash on Tickets:

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Student ticket purchasers and H.A.A. Manager Frank Lunden lined up in directly opposing camps yesterday as the students complained of snail's-pace service and Lunden expressed satisfaction at the speed and efficiency of the H.A.A. ducat-selling process.

Complaints against the ticket distribution set-up began filtering into the hands of Student Council members last week, Council President Edric A. Weld, Jr. '46 reported last night, adding that "a conference will be held tomorrow between the H.A.A. and Council representative Patrick D. Dailey '50."

No Objection, says Lunden

Lunden, on the other hand, told, the CRIMSON yesterday that "I haven't seen much objection from the boys except occasionally when one is in a hurry to get to a class."

No Council check on the complaints has been made to date, Weld explained, "because we didn't want to come in and make suggestions" during the first week that the newly planned ticket selling process has been in operation.

The new system, Lunden pointed out yesterday, has alleviated the old problem of blank seats in the cheering section. Since season ticket holders no longer have to turn in a ticket to get two, Lunden said, the cheering section can be filled solidly, thereby leaving more room for men bringing dates.

He again reminded students that 5 o'clock today is the deadline for turning in coupons for the Holy Cross and Dartmouth games. Any season-ticket holder who has not yet applied by that hour must wait until the week of the game, and then take his chances with non-College applicants.
