Unseasonal high temperatures on the Eastern coast may cancel ski team participation in the West Point Winter Carnival next weekend, because of a lack of essential snow. Robert L. Barrel '46, ski team manager, announced yesterday.

The team has not participated in any other ski meets during the examination period, remaining absent from a recent contest at Middlebury College.

Individual skiers, however, took part in the Franconia Open Giant Slalom and Cross Country meet Sunday and Saturday, Barrel announced, as Bill Halsey, ski team coach, placed second in the cross country event.
