Acheson Will Talk at Banquet Of Harvard Clubs on June 4

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The man who directs the State Department when Byrnes goes visiting London, Moscow, or Paris, Assistant Secretary of State Dean G. Acheson '19, will address the Associated Harvard Clubs on June 4 at the Copley-Plaza. The occasion will be a banquet highlighting the three day meeting of the clubs, the first held in the Boston area in ten years.

Speculation that Acheson would therefore receive an honorary degree on June 6 was dampened by the fact that the speaker's committee which selected Acheson has no official connection with the University committee which decides on degree recipients. President Conant will also address the clubs who are coming to Boston to see what changes the war has made in the University.
