Alumni, College Man Elected As Chapter Begins Activity

Two Alumni and one College man were were elected to head the local chapter of the Cambridge American Veterans Committee at a meeting of the general membership Wednesday evening in the Cambridge Y. M. C. A.

Named chairman was Eugene Emerson '38, former varsity hockey player and member of the CRIMSON business board. Frank Ferdinand '43 and Philip E. Northway '49 were designated secretary and treasurer respectively.

The membership also drafted a letter to the AVC national committee, requesting a clarification of policy iusofar as a local political party is concerned. Tabled for further consideration was a proposed AVC labor program, which will be recommended to the national committee when passed here. Next general meeting was set for May 1.
