Intensive French and Spanish Courses Given

To meet the demand for elementary courses in French and Spanish, the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures has created double courses in each subject, designed to meet a total of six hours a week and count as two half courses, department officials announced yesterday.

The courses, meeting for the first time this afternoon at three o'clock in Sever 5 for French Aab and Sever 6 for Spanish lab will enable the student to complete the equivalent of one year's college work in each language during the spring.
