Yardling Grapplers Overcome Varsity Wrestling Team 19 to 9

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A power-packed Yardling grappling team proved more than a match for the Varsity wrestlers in an informal match in the Wrestling Room yesterday afternoon when they won five out of the eight bouts to beat the first-stringers by the score of 19 to 9. All the bouts were won by decisions except the 121-pound class where Freshman Jim Waddell pinned William Bluemel in the first period with a Princeton bar and the 175-pound class.

Far from encouraged over the results of the trial meet, Chief Boston, Varsity wrestling coach, commented that his team would have to get into better shape over the holidays to win the M.I.T. and Princeton meets both of which come within the first five days after vacation. All squad members are expected to work out at home or at the Indoor Athletic Building if they live in the Boston area.
