Yardling Quintet To Meet Exeter In Second Game

Scrimmages With Varsity Whip Freshman Squad into Form For Mid-Afternoon Struggle

With an inaugural victory under their belts, the Freshman quintet will attempt to keep a clean slate when they battle Exeter on the Indoor Athletic Building court this afternoon at 3:00 o'clock.

Coach Warren Berg '44 has sharpened his squad with several scrimmages during the week, highlighted by a practice victory over Andover Wednesday and an impressive workout against the top two Varsity fives.

Exeter has several veterans from last year's team and they were the sparkplugs in the visitors 18 point victory over Tufts last week.

Starting for the Yardlings will be four of the men who opened against Tech. The only change is at guard where Chuck Brynteson will open in place of Dick Reifsnyder. The latter hurt his hand a week ago and has been unable to play all week. Captain John Rockwell, Frank Lionette, Pat Dailey, and Dick Covey are the other members of the first team.

With an unusually tall team gracing the courts this year, Coach Berg has a first year squad that should compile an impressive record this season.
