In an effort to alleviate the crush for reading list books, special arrangements for keeping some of the college libraries open during the vacation period, and for home use of the textbooks were announced yesterday.
Widener will be available for use throughout the holidays, but students who will not be here may take books out on December 21 and keep them, without fine, until classes begin January 6. Texts taken out before this date may be renewed either by telephone or by postal card, listing title, author, and call number of the book.
The Union libraries will be closed, but books may be withdrawn on December 21. Remaining books will be transferred to Boylston, which will be open every Monday through Friday from nine until five o'clock.
