Adolph Samborski's Jayvee basketball squad gained victory number eight Wednesday afternoon when it downed an inexperienced Governor Dummer five, 55 to 30, in the Indoor Athletic Building.
Playing without the services of John Boyce and Frank Rinaldi, the B quintet turned in one of its sloppiest exhibitions of the season, but its edge in age and height proved too much for the visitors.
The regulars put the Crimson out in front with a comfortable 15 to 5 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Dummer outfit pulled up to 27 to 16 at the half.
Ronnie Wright and Al Woodington paced the Jayvees, accounting for 12 tallies each, while Douglas led the Governor Dummer five with 11 points. Samborski's quintet will swing into action again-Saturday evening at 7 o'clock when it takes on Andover.
