Tufts Favored to Beat Crimson

Allen, Jenkins Unable To Start for Opener

Handicapped somewhat by scrimmage wrought injuries which are keeping four men on the bench, Coach Dick Harlow will send his untested team onto Soldiers Field tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock to face a favored and highly-touted Tufts squad. Before the game starts, the combined NROTC units of Tufts and Harvard will be reviewed on the field.

The loss for tomorrow's game of Bill Jenkins, best open-field runner on the squad, of guards Ted Woggon and Mal Allen, and of end Paul Champion will undoubtedly make the Crimson less favored to repeat its 13 to 6 victory over the Jumbos in last year's opener.

Rated far higher than last year's team, the Jumbos have been rounding into peak form for several weeks. Sparked by the brilliant passing of George Feldman and by Billy Irwin's hard running. Lew Manley's boys have already racked up a 14 to 6 upset over the Coast Guard Academy team and bowed comfortably to a powerful Yale machine. HARVARD  TUFTS Swegan, le  le. Rohrs Fisher, lt  lt.
