Harvard's newly-formed all V-12 boxing team will encounter a Williams outfit on the top floor of the Indoor Athletic Building Saturday at 1500 in the first pugilistic event of the year, Coach Henry N. Lamar said yesterday.
Because all arrangements are not yet completed, the definite weight groups in which each man will be classified have not yet been determined. At the present time, six boxers are ready and their classes will be decided later. They Taylor, 120, Ken Ammenwerth, 125, Frank O'Grady, '135, Jim, Raffi, 145, J. C. Doston, 155, Roscoe Hankin and an as yet unknown heavyweight of 175 compose the Varsity squad. All of these are in the V-12 with the exception of Hankin who is in the NROTC.
The V-12 will attend the match en masse and their liberties for the weekend do not begin until 4:30 o'clock that afternoon.
This will be Harvard's first boxing match of the year and to date no more have been scheduled. Before the furlough period all fisticuffs were restricted to the class in boxing and the present squad has been practicing as a team only during the last two weeks.
