Men of the Class of 1948 will meet at a smoker to be held in the Lowell House Dining Room Thursday evening, February 1, at 8:30 o'clock. Coach Henry N. Lamar will be a featured speaker at the informal get-together. Beer and Coca-Cola will be served, and other entertainment will be provided.
The smoker, the first of the term for Freshmen, Navy and civilian alike, has been planned by the Freshman Affairs Committee of the Student Council in co-operation with the Lowell House Committee. It is designed to help the large Freshman Class get acquainted, in view of the fact that because of the war, membership in the Class is apt to change rapidly.
The co-chairmen of the Freshman Affairs Committee are Howland P. Hall '48, of Adams House, and Arthur C. McGill '48, of Lowell House.
