'WAKE' BEGINS LITERARY LIFE

Creative Writing Magazine Releases First Issue Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Coming at a time when many organizations have disbanded for the duration, the long-awaited Harvard Wake appeared this morning.

The pocket-sized Wake for September is strictly literary, with 40 pages of stories and poems; articles, advertisements, and illustrations will come in the next issue.

Entirely supported by contributions from the student body, the Wake's future will depend upon response to the first issue. Filling in for the suspended Advocate and Guardian, the new Wake will, its creators hope, eventually become a permanent organization at Harvard. At present, it is undecided whether the Wake will be a monthly or bi-monthly.
