Planning a summer of hiking, cycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, canoeing, swimming, skiing, skating, and camping, the Harvard Outing Club will hold its first meeting of the term Friday night at 7:15 o'clock in the Lowell House Junior Common Room.
A possible joint venture involving all outing clubs of the local colleges is the business of the first meeting. The expedition will be a rock-climbing, horseback riding, cycling or hiking trip into the interior of Massachusetts.
Those interested in Sunday's trip or future trips should drop in at Eliot E-51, Lowell J-51, Adams B-16, or call KIRkland 2594.
During the spring term, the Outing Club made trips throughout New England, travelling sometimes on foot, sometimes on horseback, and sometimes on bicycles. Harvard men, who like the great outdoors and Massachusetts college girls, have gone on outings to nearby Smith in the past and plan to do so again in the future.
At the meeting on Friday, plans for the coming term will be worked out and men who enjoy camping under the stars and scaling the cliffs of central Massachusetts will get a chance to voice their preferences for trips. Refreshments, beer and coca-cola, will be served!
