The Nominating Committee of the Student Council will nominate candidates for positions on the Council at a meeting Monday evening at 7 o'clock. Elections will be held Friday, July 28.
The Student Council Nominating Committee consists of W. L. Jack Edwards '47 and C. Austin Fish '46 from Adams House, John Noonan and Frederick P. Murphey '47 from Lowell House, Dick Hunneman, V-12, and Charles Thompson, V-12, from Eliot House, Richard J. Creedon, NROTC and Jerome Andrews, V-12, from Kirkland House, Paul F. O'Rourke '46 and William E. Murphey '47 from Dudley House and all of the present members of the Student Council.
Twenty-four men will be nominated, eight of whom will be elected to the Council. The names of those nominated will appear in the July 18 issue of the SERVICE NEWS.
Petitions for other candidates must be signed by 35 names and presented to the president of the Student Council at Phillips Brooks House by 5 o'clock July 25.
The present officers of the Student Council include Douglas Danner '46, of Waban and Kirkland House, president; Walter Amory '46 of Needham and Kirkland House, secretary; and W. L. Jack Edwards '47 of Dallas, Texas and Adams House treasurer.
The last Council election was held on April 4, when the Classes of '46 and '47 chose 11 men to serve on the Council.
