Coaches Selected for ASTP V-12 Sports Meet Thursday

Final plans for the ASTP-V-12 athletic meet to be held Thursday are to be drawn up at a joint Army-Navy dinner to be held at the Faculty Club tonight. The various starting lineups are almost set and will probably be announced at the same time that the final details are released.

Boxing and wrestling bouts will start off the program, and the respective teams, are to be chosen by Tom Rawson and George Meyerson for the Army and Henry Lamar and Chief Morton for the Navy. The swimming teams for both outfits are to be chosen by Hal Ulen. The Army courtmen are to be handled by Adolph Samborski and the Navy outfit by Varsity mentor Floyd Stahl.

Scrimmages Held

Preparations for the basketball game have been going on for the last two weeks in the form of scrimmages between the ASTP, Eliot House, Varsity, and Junior Varsity teams. In these encounters, both Eliot and tire ASTP have given the Varsity hard tussles.

Floyd Stahl has expressed the probability that they Navy lineup will be a combination of Eliot and the Varsity, and there is a strong possibility that Andy Nelson and Varsity-ineligibles George Boston and Henry Hibbard of the Eliot squad will be included in the starting five. Several of the ASTP players are veterans of college and high school competition.
