Hopes for an undefeated soccer season were dashed last Tuesday at Providence when coach Jim McDonald's Crimson A hooters dropped at tight 1 to 0 decision to the Brown varsity. Early in the first period Dick Goff took advantage of a Crimson defensive lapse to get in close and slam home of the only goal of the afternoon.
Services of Heisler Missed
Throughout the rest of the game, play remained fairly even with both teams getting plenty of chances to score but not being able to captialize on these opportunities. Desperately missed was the talented kicking of center forward Roy heisler, who had scored nine goals in two games for the Crimson up until the time of his departure for the army last Saturday.

B Team Wins
Last Wednesday, McDonald's B Team which is made up of freshmen and inexperienced men plus a few varsity hooters, whipped a game, but outclassed, Governor Dummer squad 5 to 0 at South Byfield.
Carrying the offensive from the start, the Crimson hooters got rolling in the second half to notch four goals and clinch the contest. Although the prep schoolers tried hard, they couldn't penetrate the Crimson defense enough to do any serious damage. The summary: G.
