CLASS OF 1946 VOTE TO OPEN

Service Ballots in Mails, College Votes on Thursday

Those members of the Class of 1946 still attached to the College will go to the polls in two civilian and two Navy Houses this Thursday noon and night to name their choices for Class Marshals. Secretary, Treasurer, and Permanent Committee.

Novel in the aspect that this will be the first Class election in which votes by mail are recorded, the balloting here will be handled by the present Freshmen Committee which will deposit Thursday's votes with the PBH Graduate Secretary for the present.

When substantial returns have been received from the armed forces, the first week in February, all votes will be tabulated and the announcements are to be made before the end of this term. To enable most members of the widely dispersed Class to aid in the selection. 960 ballots were mailed out to servicemen last Saturday.

Nominated by committee and petition action in recent weeks are 42 men for the general posts, while seven have been named as possible Class treasurers.
