TRACK SCHEDULE LISTS DARTMOUTH, MIT, TUFTS

Veteran cross country coach Jaako Mikkola, entering his 23rd year as top man of the fall's fastest moving sport, yesterday announced the partial schedule drawn up for his Navy-dominated team.

Basing his hopes for a successful season on ten strong men whom he describes as "a hard-working, faithful squad," Mikkola has arranged an initial four-meet listing which includes the traditional M. I. T., Dartmouth, and Tufts contests. In the first of these, the Crimson A squad will run the 3.7 mile handicap course against the best Tech-men on October 2.

More spectacular will be the triangular meet with Tufts College and Dartmouth at Tufts which is planned one week later for the ninth. Dartmouth's outfit is expected to resemble an all-star aggregation, for the Marine V-12 Unit contributes several of the members of last season's crack N. Y. U. team. Captaining the Big Green runners is Don Burnham, youthful star of the Gundar Haeg race, which drew thousands to the Stadium early, last summer.

While the A team is away Worcester Polytech may send distance men down for a Charles River meeting with the Crimson B team, and it is possible that the second string Mikkola-men will also race on the 13th of November, when the post-exam schedule brings Tufts over to the Handicap Course.
