Lieutenant Hodnett Chosen To Head V-12 Program Here

With the V-12 program being put into final shape, Lieutenant Edward Hodnett, USNR, has been named officer-in-charge of the unit which will arrive on July 1, Ensign Raymond Adkins, USNR, will be in charge of the physical training program for these men, and Chief Specialists John A. Newman, Richard A. Thomas, Sherman L. Lioyd, and Henry D. Martin are on the staff.

The Naval ROTC office has been depleted by the departure of Lieut-Comdr. William B. Dortoh, USNR, for dePauw University, III., where he will be commanding officer of the V-12 Unit, while Ensign Frank W. Patrick, USNR, formerly chief Specialist in charge of Navy Scl physical training, will direct the V-12 athletics at the University of Minnesota. Chief Signalman Kurt R. Groote is now at sea.
