CRIMSON TEN TRIUMPHS TWICE

A backhand pass from George Angle to Nat Brackett, who slipped the ball past the four foot cage guarder, provided the 7 to 6 margin for a Crimson victory over the Springfield lacrosse team Saturday. Half of the Harvard squad, traveling up to Governor Dummer, triumphed over the preps 7 to 5, also on Saturday.

Several spurts of power netted the win which closed the Crimson's season with a .500 average. The Red and White scored first, but Angle, who scored four point. Harvard then traded goals until the end of the half, which closed with a sudden cloudburst.

When play was resumed on the wet field, the Crimson refused to be bogged down and came forward with a set of goals for a lead that was never lost. The only other Harvard scores were made by Nat Brackett. The Springfield attackers were led by midfielder Carlson, who netted four tallies. Thompson and Midgeley made the other points that brought Springfield's total up to six.

The biggest improvement this season was shown in clearing the ball up the of the final seven goals, matched the field by defensemen Miles Overholt, Don Page, and Mack Brodrick. Captain Tom Bridge, Bud Lane, Dave Thompson, Jim Conway, and Norm Cameron completed the midfield.

The 7 to 5 victory by the rest of the team at Governor Dummer was possible because of the experience of the Crimson attackmen. Mac Osborne led the Harvard squad with four goals and was followed by John Rogers and Jack Romer
