MAY GRADUATES TO GET EXERCISE CUT

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In an announcement clarifying the position of Seniors in regard to Physical Training, Dean Hanford stated Yesterday that only Seniors who are candidates for the degree in May are to be excused from the regular compulsory exercise.

This concession is made because of the General Examinations in most fields of concentration which come within the next few weeks. It is not now granted to those graduating in October, but will receive the same consideration at the end of the Summer Term.

Because of Navy regulations requiring that students continue exercise as long as they are in college, this ruling will not affect any Seniors who are graduating in May, if they are in the Naval Reserve in either the V-1 or V-T status.
