A surging Leverett ten swept a double header yesterday by scoring 13 runs in each of their games with Eliot and Kirkland. The 13 to 5 victory over the Elephants was just a matter of pilling up runs behind the stellar pitching of Norm Cameron. The 13 to 1 walk over Kirkland came when the Bunny swatters got their eye on the Deacons pitcher, Ash Carter.
Lowell lost two very close softball games yesterday to both Eliot and Kirkland by the score of 4 to 3. The Elephant win was due to the Bellboys' inability to overcome a 4 to 1 lead that the Eliot men piled up early in the game.
The Deacons eked out their 4 to 3 win on a score because of an error in the last inning. Behind the pitching of Gus Lindquist, star hitters Bill Elser and Dick karb helped bring hom the Kirkland House bacon. Leverett netters slammed out a 5 to 0 win over the Gold Coasters as the Puritans defaulted to Kirkland in tennis.
