Two provisions, indicating that Yale Naval Reservists may stay in college longer than originally expected, have been received according to an announcement the Yale Daily News made on Saturday.
When questioned as to the application of these provisions to Harvard, Captain Barker, professor of Naval Science and Tactics, stated that he had no knowledge of any such communique.
The Daily News went on to say that all members of the NROTC, regardless of their class will be allowed to remain in college for the full eight terms. Those in their Senior year will be commissioned Ensigns on or about June 15 four months before they will receive their University degrees.
Unless such a plan is approved for present Juniors and Sophomores, they are expected to remain at Yale for their full eight terms, the News said.
