New executive of the Army Training Schools at Harvard is Captain Bernard A. Merriam, Harvard '09. Captain Merriam arrived here last week from Fort Ethan Allen, Vt., where he served in various capacities. At Harvard, Captain Merriam rejoins Col. Wood with whom he served for a year at Ethan Allen and will serve as Col. Wood's executive officer.

Capt. Merriam enlisted in the Mass. National Guard in 1915, was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the infantry O.R.C. May 15, 1917, attending the first Plattsburg officers' camp from May 15 to August 15, 1917, and was then commissioned as a captain of infantry. He served at Fort Devens for the duration of the war with the rank of Captain.
