Led by the accurate shooting of Freshman Wally Sears, the Junior Varsity hockey team topped an inferior Yale sextet 9 to 3 at the Boston Garden Saturday afternoon. Defense man Milt Stearns and wing Dave Baldwin followed Sears with two goals apiece.
Sears opened the first period action with two goals while Baldwin and Jim Apthorp tallied one apiece. The second period saw the Crimson adding up another four points, while Sears scored the lone goal in the final session.
The Jayvees thus completed their season by losing only two encounters, one to a highly touted Medford High School team, the other to St. Paul's.
