Shortage of teachers and means of relieving the situation will be discussed at the Hotel Statler today at a conference sponsored by the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Boston University College of Education.
Commissioners of education of each New England state, heads of institutions engaged in the training of teachers, representatives of state teachers' associations and other bodies affected by a serious shortage have been invited to attend the conference.
The session will start this morning and will continue into the afternoon, following a luncheon. Conclusion will come in time for those expecting to attend the annual meeting of the Harvard Teachers Association, which starts later this afternoon at Cambridge.
