Habitually in the cellar of the House leagues, the Eliot House basketball team overwhelmingly flattened the Company B squad of the Naval R.O.T.C. by the wide margin of 23 to 8, in a game played at the Indoor Athletic Building yesterday afternoon. In another tilt, Adams defeated last year's champs, Lowell House, 27 to 28.
Eliot went right out in front, holding an 11-6 lead at the end of the first half. In the second half, they walked all over the helpless sailors. The Elephants' star performers were Vic Boullion who tallied 11 points, and Tener Eckleberry who dropped 6 points through the hoop.
Lowell held a 10 to 9 margin at the end of the first half but couldn't stave off a strong Adams comeback. Herb Cohen starred for the victorious Gold Coasters while Sam Hall was outstanding for the Bellboys.
