Meat Rationing to Hit Area; Sugar Allowance Is Increased

With drastic curtailment of meat allowances through a federal rationing system becoming imminent, Harvard faces the same reduction in beef-eating as the rest of the area, Roy L. Westcott, manager of dining halls, announced yesterday.

Reported to involve a cut as high as 50 per cent, the rationing system will probably be similar to the present sugar allotment plan which allows institutions a certain percentage of their former use.
