Lowell Beats Adams In Baseball Series

The touch football leagues of the House athletic program got under way Monday with a game between Leverett and Eliot which Leverett won 42 to 12. Yesterday Leverett continued its winning ways with a 24 to 8 victory over Lowell by the upperclassmen as the Leverett Freshmen tied the Lowell Freshmen 18 to 18.

On Monday the Lowell baseball team played off its 8 to 8 tie game of last Thursday with Adams and broke the deadlock for third place between them. Lowell was the decisive winner, 13 to 3, in an error-filled game. By winning, the Bellboys went into a three-way tie for second place with Kirkland and Winthrop, and Adams kept in third place, tied with Dudley.

In two softball games yesterday, Kirkland defeated Winthrop 8 to 3 and Dunster beat Dudley 13 to 12.

Tomorrow inter-House tennis begins a schedule which will last for the rest of the summer. Teams will consist of seven singles players and two doubles teams. Matches will be played at the Jarvis courts.

The schedule for today and tomorrow is as follows: today, Eliot versus Winthrop and Adams versus Leverett in baseball; Dudley versus Lowell and Dunster versus Kirkland in softball. Tomorrow, Dunster versus Kirkland and Eliot versus Lowell in baseball; Adams versus Leverett and Dudley versus Winthrop in softball; and Adams versus Dudley at 3 o'clock and Leverett versus Winthrop at 4:30 o'clock in tennis.
