TRACK SQUAD TO END YEAR

Thin Clads Rated Underdogs Against AAU Competition

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Although the Three Presidents' agreement forbids any post season football games, it has not yet been extended to track, and thereby lies a bit of extra-season competition. For 13 members of the Freshman and Varsity squads will toddle over to Boston College tomorrow afternoon for the New England AAU championships.

Leading the Crimson contingent will be 1942-43 captain hurdler Don MacKinnon, who will enter both the high and low events. Dick Pflster and Pete Garland will participate in the shot and discus, and both Fishers (Jack and Bill), with Tom White, will toss the hammer.

Garland Will Triple

Johnny Bunker and Garland will high jump, Tim Coggeshall and Don McCaul in the three-mile, Archie Lyon in the 880, Herky Herskovits, Garland, and Ordway in the Javelin.

Officially, the squad will be competing for the team plaque, but since the men are out of condition, and only a few are going, to compete against the best tracksters in New England, they are not rated much chance.
