Capturing its first trophy in competition this year, the Harvard yacht team trounced M. I. T., Dartmouth, and eight other eastern sail fleets in the yacht basin, Saturday. Let by skippers David C. Noyes '44, John Burton '44 and George O'Day '45, the Crimson aggregation spotted the Tech boats an early lead, and went ahead to win in the final events, garnering 196 points to the Engineers' 171.

Ten races were scheduled in the lengthy program of events, and 12 of the eastern colleges sent their top seamen to compete for the Boston Dinghy cup. This trophy was awarded to the victors as a result of their efforts in copping the Dinghy class competition.
