YARDLING NINE WILL FACE EXETER HERE TODAY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With a heart-warming record of six wins behind them, the Yardling nine, under their mentor Al Samborski, will face Exeter on Soldiers Field this afternoon at three o'clock in a game which should prove close, since both teams are closely matched.

Bud Mains, master of the speedball, will probably start on the mound for the Freshmen, while backing him up will be Captain Vinnie Leahy, Jim Apthorp and Hoss Hamlen. Also in the lineup will be Irv Rudman, George Casey, Jim Gallagher, Bill Barron, and John Ready.
