President to Outline Role Of College Student in War

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

After almost five months of silence, President Conant is expected to outline the student's role in wartime when he addresses the University at 7:45 o'clock this evening in Sanders Theater.

Although he has refrained from indicating his attitude specifically, the Harvard Forum which requested that he speak has suggested that he may clear some of the haziness surrounding questions of higher education during the present conflict.

MacKinney Will Introduce

After Chairman John W. Sullivan '43 has described the function of the newly organized Forum, Student Council President Loren G. MacKinney '42 will introduce President Conant. His address will not exceed an hour in length and immediately following it G. Wallace Woodworth and the Glee Club will lead the audience in singing "The Star Spangled Banner".
