Biddies' Union Elects New Set of Officers

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Following an election held earlier in the month, the Union of Harvard maintenance and caretaker workers installed their new officers at the Union headquarters on Massachusetts Avenue last night. The new officers will direct the activities of a thousand members of an organization which is the solo bargaining agency for all painters, maids, and caretakers of the University.

Daniel Mulverhill of the caretaking department relieves William A. Doyle in the presidency. Doyle's administration had been active, for it was during this time that the campaign for the maids' Sunday off as well as other efforts toward working improvements had been conducted.

George Warner was selected for the post of Vice-president, while Mrs. Mary Arsenault, maid in Thayer's center entry, is the new Union secretary. Frank Miller of the Maintenance division is the newly-elected treasurer. Eight new members of the group's executive board were also selected.
