Dropping but one of their thirteen games, the Deacons of Kirkland won the House volleyball championship yesterday afternoon when they beat Dunster by default to make a clean sweep of the league. Lowell and Adams tied for second, each winning five matches and losing two. There were three games to each match.
Kirkland capitalized on height to win, with Don Lutze and Tex Meyera working well together at the net. Other members of the Deacon's team were Jack Eberle, Carter Leslie, Jack Dixon, and Tyler Peabody.
Eliot finished in fourth with four wins and three losses, and was followed by Leverett and Lowell tied for fifth with three victories and four setbacks. Dudley in seventh with one and six, and Dunster last with none and seven.
