As the University's effort for the Greater Boston United War Fund completed its first day of intensified canvassing, John P. Bunker '42, treasurer of the Student Council, revealed that the Harvard Woman's Club of Boston is donating $200 to the Red Cross through the Council, but entirely separate from the United Drive.
Previous to yesterday, the Harvard chapter of the Fund had collected $18,000 plus a $1,000 contribution from the Student Council. Chairman Elliott Perkins, Master of Lowell House, at the same time assured a call for a total of $20,000 more from the students, employees, and Faculty members who had not yet joined the drive.
