Rising to unexpected heights, the ski team garnered a fourth place in the annual Middlebury College Winter Carnival, when it bowed only to Dartmouth, the defending champion, to New Hampshire, and to Middlebury.

Del Amen was the individual star for the Crimson, coming in sixth in the cross-country and taking eighth place in the combined cross-country and jump.

Other Crimson skiers to score were Finn Ferner, captain, who was the 15th man to reach the finish in the cross-country, Tom Winship, president of the club, who was judged 10th in the jump, and Roger Wilson, who placed 17th in the combination.
