PRINCETON ADOPTS REQUIRED SPORTS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Princeton followed Harvard's lead by announcing on Saturday the organization of a war-time athletic program for undergraduates. More than 1000 students will next week begin the streamlined sports program.

Every student taking the accelerated plan for graduation must take part in at least two of the four types of sports to be offered during the term. These will consist of swimming, calisthenics, and gymnastics, combative sports, in addition to the regular group of sports.

The combative sports, which include instruction in wrestling, ju jitsu, boxing, and sabre, are expected to prove the most popular.
