In an attempt to take their first win of the season the Jayvee basketball team will meet the Brown Hoopsters this evening at 6:30 o'clock before the Varsity squads of the two colleges meet at 8 o'clock.
After a defeat by the Boston Coast Guard Station's strong second five and a heartbreaking loss to the Tech team, which took the game away from the Junior Varsity in the last few minutes of play for a 39 to 37 victory, the team will attempt to get back in the winner's circle.
Leading the Stahlmen's attack will be Ernie Mannino, who stood out as the squad's high scorer in the recent defeat at the hands of M.I.T. Dick Warron and Reed Moyer, who made eight and seven points apiece in the tilt with the Coast guard, will lend their capable support.
Holding down one first string guard spot will be Jim Mains, star pitcher for last year's Freshman nine, who played a fine defensive game against the Junior Varsity's last two opponents.
