Hour Exams May be Offered For Pre-Midyears Draftees

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Final credit for this semester's work might be given, on the basis of hour exams held just before the Christmas vacation, to students who are drafted or otherwise ordered to active duty with the armed forces before midyears, it was learned from the Dean's Office yesterday.

Such a plan, which would only be open to men who definitely have to leave to enter the service, is now under consideration by administrative officials and a decision is expected shortly.

The Dean's Office yesterday urged students to keep up with their work so that if a plan of this type is finally approved they may take advantage of it. Dean Hanford pointed out that many difficulties would have to be overcome before the proposal could be worked out.
