Harvard Recipes May Halt Cattle Shortage at Holyoke

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

According to the latest communique from the cattle front, Mt. Holyoke, home of female meat enthusiasts, will feel the pangs of frustration today as they begin a weekly sacrifice of their favorite ribs, legs and chops. Their sad condition has been brought about by a live stock shortage in the East.

As they did last year when Holyoke was blighted with drought, Harvard undergraduates have again offered to help the girls satiate their hunger. A new organization known as the "We share the Vittles Club" has offered to split the last 36 barrels of chicken pie family style with the Holyokites.

Holyoke bigwigs are planning to substitute salads, soups and various other concoctions in place of the more hefty fare. To prevent the complete breakdown of Holyoke's home front as well as rear, the Union has already offered its recipe for its own inimitable Cockee Leeckee.
