Harvard's Varsity golfers came off second in the three-way playoff in Stamford, Conn. picking up 8 points to Dartmouth's 15 1/2 and Yale's 3 1/2 Incidently, the Crimson scored a 7 to 2 win over the Elis, completely reversing last week's defeat. The victorious Big Green, beaten only by Harvard this year, went on to take the Eastern title with a 6 1/2 to 2 1/2 conquest of Princeton on Saturday.
Harvard took five out of six single matches from Yale and two best balls, sweeping the top four positions for six points with Don Peddie, Don Elbel, Pete MacGowan, and Gerry Davis, Watty Dickerman took his match for the final tally.
The Yardlings lost to the Yale cubs by an 8 to 1 count in New Haven.
