Golfers Sink Amherst, 6-3

Harvard's Varsity golfers carried off their seventh win in eight starts yesterday with a 6 to 3 decision over Amherst at Belmont. Watty Dickerman at number two and Pete Macgowam at three went 20 and 19 holes respectively for wins, while Bill Allis and Gerry Davis won 6-5 and 2-1 at four and six.

Macgowan and Allis won their best ball, assuring the Crimson of victory, so Don Elbel's match was stopped at 20 holes and the point split as was the best ball in the third foursome. Dick Durkes of Amherst beat Don Peddie 2-1 in the number one bout and carried the best ball 1 up.
