BUST OF ROBERT BACON IS LATEST UNION GIFT

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Latest addition to the Harvard Union's collection of trophies and ornaments is a bust of Robert J. Bacon '80, now standing before the entrance of the Freshman dining hall.

The bust was presented by Bacon's son Gaspar G. Bacon '08, former Lieutenant-Governor of Massachusetts, and will remain in its present position until a more suitable place is found.

Bacon was one of the most prominent Harvard graduates. He early became associated with J. P. Morgan of New York City, then entered politics and became Ambassador to France.
