Two Freshman bridge players, James J. Higginson and William H. Sherer, carried off silver trophies from the University Pair Championship tournament which was concluded Wednesday night.
Close behind the winners score of 241 points came last year's victors, Roger J. Stokey '42, and Robert F. Thurrell 143 with 237 points. J. V. Imhoff '42 and Edward W. Robitschek '42 took third place on the strength of 227 1-2 points.
In the University Team of Four Championship, the foursome of Stokey, Thurrell, Alan F. Arnold '42, and Richard C. W. Fisher '41 came through in the finals with an aggregate of 3,010 points.
Next month a tournament will be held to determine who shall represent the University at the Intercollegiates.
