PETITIONS FOR LEGAL WATER FIGHTS REFUSED YARDLINGS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Freshman Deans were confronted with a new type of request recently when a petition for legal, regularly scheduled, bi-weekly water fights was recently handed in by a committee of Yardlings from the North Entry of Thayer Hall.

It all started when Proctor Eric W. Johnson '40 objected to the daily orange fights which were going on in the dormitory. At the ensuing meeting held in Johnson's room, it was decided to ask for water-fighting permission to provide a medium for releasing excess energy.

Permission was refused.
